Pest Control Services USCG Base Elizabeth City, NC

Question Reference Government Response
1 Would a rodent control device meet your bid's requirements or are you purely looking for a service provider?
My company makes the A24... a toxin-free, ultra-low-maintenance and certified-humane rodent control device that facility managers love - NSN 3740-01-693- 5506. I'm wondering if it may be of interest and can send our summary document your way if so.
Service Provider
2 Will indicator flags be required for any exterior perimeter application of pesticides i.e 3-5 ft band over soil, turf, etc. Or will it only be required for areas where broadcast treatments are rendered.
PWS 2.6.5 Flags will not need to be used for pesticide treatment with the exception of child playground areas. All other perimeter or broadband treatment can be annotated on a site map per application and submitted to the COR.
3 In the event of an active WDI infestation that was not otherwise able to be readily identified during a visual inspection, would an estimate be provided by the contractor to the COR for approval? If so, is this considered an Unscheduled Service? Does a linear foot price need to be provided as a prerequisite? I don't see that as a line item on the spreadsheet unless it is meant to be listed in the Inspection category.
In the event of a wood destroying insect infestation, a separate quote will be submitted to the Contracting Officer through the COR for consideration. All pricing break downs should be included and will be considered as a separate service.
4 In the event of an active bed bug infestation would that service fall under the guise of a "Service Call", and be priced as such? Bed Bugs require great attention to detail and thus oftentimes require several hours to control effectively.
In the event of a bed bug infestation, a separate quote will be submitted to the Contracting Officer through the COR for consideration. All pricing break downs should be included and will be considered as a separate service.
5 Is it possible to get the current contract pricing or contract number that can be looked up?
70Z08419CAA551900
6 Can we get square footage on buildings that are listed on the proposal that are not on the map? Buildings 9 / 12 / 19 / 20 / 33 / 51 / 59-61 / 106 / 111 / 115
The Base does not have buildings with these numbers assigned.
7 What was the previous awarded Solicitation Number, Date awarded, and awarded value?
Please see number 7.
8 Has any part of the Statement of Work (SOW) changed in this solicitation compared to the last awarded contract? If so, what changed or was added?
The requirement to have two technicians on site during core hours. Number of services calls out side of standard service was increased.
9 Has the government issued any CURE or Notice of Correction for pest control services over the past 24 months at this location?
No
10 Can the government clarify how many wood-destroying insects or wood-destroying organisms service requests there have been in the past 24 months?
No wood-destroying insect service call has been requested in the last 24 months
11 Can the government clarify how many bed bug service requests there have been in the past 24 months?
No bed bug services have been requested in the last 24 months for any of the berthing locations. Beds per location B23- 300 beds, B54-21beds, & B48- 22 beds approximately.
12 Can the government clarify how many rodent service requests there have been in the past 24 months?
300-400 approximately.
13 Can the government clarify if fly lights are being used at the USCG Base Elizabeth City, and if so, how many?
Fly lights are not currently being used at the Base.
14 Can the government provide clarification on how many rodent bait stations are currently at the USCG Base Elizabeth City?
Currently there are 50 exterior rodent bait traps deployed in high traffic areas.
15 Our firm will be preparing a bid for the pest control services solicitation linked above - we have experience working with the Coast Guard and have 2 questions:
- What is their current annual pricing? - Who is the incumbent on this contract?
The incumbent on this contract is Frontier Pest Control
16 After reviewing the attached document for the solicitation, I can't seem to find any reference to the "CGXhange (MICRO EXCHANGE B4, 75, 79, 100 and HMF2 )" line item listed in the pricing schedule. What exactly is this "CGXhange (MICRO EXCHANGE B4, 75, 79, 100 and HMF2 )" that the pricing schedule is referring to?
Micro Exchanges are small break rooms that offer prepackaged food items. They are listed on Appendix B.
