Amendment 001

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

1. Is this proposal an electronic submission, or do we need to mail hardcopies to the address listed on the solicitation?

Response: No, the proposal needs to be hardcopy and submitted to the address on the solicitation.

2. Clarify the construction magnitude for this project? Parts of the solicitation state $1-$5M while in section L.4 it states “THE ESTIMATED COST OF THIS PROJECT RANGES BETWEEN

$1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.” What is the correct magnitude?

Response: Construction magnitude is $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.

3. We request that the proposal due date be changed since 9-6-2021 is a national holiday. Our company recognizes Labor Day as a company paid holiday and is closed.

Response: Proposal due date will be changed to September 7, 2021.

4. L.5 states “A BID BOND is required in the amount of 20% of the total bid price and must be provided with the bid.” Normally FAR Clause 52.228-1 reads 20% or $3M whichever is less. Please consider changing to reflect actual FAR Clause language.

Response: A BID BOND is required in the amount of 20% of the total bid price and must be provided with the bid.

5. Is the original bid bond need to be sent to your office location prior to the bid due date and time?

Response: The bid bond can be sent at the same time as the proposal package.

6. Can the Site Supervisor serve as the Quality Control Manager and Site Safety Officer? If no, can the Site

Supervisor serve in at least one of the two positions? If yes, which one will the government allow us to dual hat in?

Response: According to EM385-1-1, the safety officer must be separate from the other roles.

As for the Site Supervisor serving as Quality Control Manager, this can be allowed depending on the projects complexity.

7. The unit price items required to be priced in the Solicitation have preset quantities listed – are these approximate quantities or have they been validated by the government as accurate numbers?

Response: The unit price items are approximate quantities and verified by the government.

8. Why is 237990 being used as the NAICS for this solicitation? Shouldn’t it be 236220?

Response: A change to NAICS code 236220 will be implemented.

9. I am reviewing the general scope of work and specifications and don't see any differences apart from a couple of Option Items. Is there anything specific that is included or excluded from the scope of work from the last time?

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

21PMV161 Major MR Repair Station Fort Pierce @ CG STA FORT PIERCE Amendment 001

Response: This is to confirm if anything changed from the previous bid process. Nothing has changed.

We are bidding on the same project a second time.

10. I see changes in drawing numbers E-04, A-05, A-06, A-07. Is this the only change from last time or are there any additional drawings I am missing?

Response: The changed drawing are the same as the last time, as it was a change from the original prepared drawings. They need to review the entire set, not just the changed pages.
