About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation Number 70Z08125QELIZ00003, a Coast Guard Ready Crew Berthing Linen Service contract. The solicitation requires a contractor to provide weekly laundry services for Coast Guard-owned linens, processing between 500-750 pounds of bedding items per week, including twin sheets, flat twin sheets, thermal blankets, pillow cases, and mattress pads/protectors. Peninsula Laundry was the previous incumbent, and the last contract was estimated at $16,868.80.
Key contract details include a base contract with four option years, where the contractor must pick up soiled linens weekly, return cleaned and folded linens the following week, and provide rolling carts for storing clean and soiled linens. The contractor is responsible for supplying bags and push carts for collection. Proposals should be submitted digitally to the Contracting Officer Luis R. Perez via email (luis.r.perez1@uscg.mil) using the attached SF-1442 form, with site visits limited to weekdays only. Each laundry bag is approximately 45 pounds, and the service requires covering clean linens to prevent dust and dirt.
