Question:

In the Technical Specification and the Technical Compliance Crosswalk documents section 2.8d it states:

GNSS-2.8d

THRESHOLD: The GNSS receiver must generate and output to a display and digital interface a new position no less than once per second.

Is the referenced display an external device (external to the GNSS receiver) or is it required to be a physically integrated component of the GNSS receiver?

Government response:

The display shall be a physically integrated component of the GNSS.

The GNSS Technical Specification has been revised to reflect the response.

The Technical Compliance Crosswalk has been revised to reflect the response.

The proposal due date remains unchanged: July 29, 2025, 12:00 PM ET
