Statement of Work (SOW) ATU Electrical Enclosure Fabrication
1. Scope:
The purpose of this task order is to obtain fifty-six (56) ATU Electrical Enclosures.
1.1. Background: A hazard of electromagnetic radiation to fuel (HERF) exists aboard U.S.
Coast Guard (USCG) 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement (SPC-LE) small boats. In July 2012, USCG C3CEN conducted a study aboard a SPC-LE boat; the study confirmed the problem. Subsequently, a solution was successfully prototyped on this asset class. This solution requires the existing MICOM-3T ATU to be mounted inside of an electrical enclosure to mitigate electromagnetic radiation to a safe level. This solution was successfully prototyped aboard USCG 33-foot SPC-LE (CG-33146) boat.
Under this task, the U.S. Coast Guard seeks to obtain fifty-six (56) of the same or equivalently constructed ATU electrical enclosure.
