Responses to Questions

Amendment 2 Answers provided 13 December 2023

This document provides United States Coast Guard (USCG) responses for questions that have been asked regarding request for proposal (RFP) 70Z03824QE0000002. Question numbers are provided simply as a reference and in no way infer a prioritization of the questions.

Number Question USCG Response 1 Is this for cardstock paper? Yes, this is cardstock.

2 What’s the delivery frequency and quantity per delivery?

The delivery frequency depends on the need. Looking at history, it could be as few as two (2) deliveries or as many as four (4) deliveries during a Period of Performance (POP). However, the solicitation states estimated quantities so there could be more.

3 Is this an index paper? What is the brand and description of what you are currently using?

No, this is cardstock or cover paper. The current brand name is unknown. The description is as stated in the solicitation, except it is 90-weight.

4 You require 3-hole-punched paper with 3/8” holes but there is nothing specified about their position. Are they on the 11” side much like standard 3HD copy paper would be?

Yes, the holes need to be down the 11” side of the paper so that it can be placed into a standard 3-ring binder.

5 Will an Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) clause be added to the contract to allow for announced industry price changes that may happen during the periods of performance?

No, an EPA clause will not be added.

6 Is there a Part Number (P/N) or Nation Stock Number (NSN) for this requirement?

There is no P/N or NSN for this requirement.

7 Would a quote reflecting 2000 boxes of 500 sheet ream suffice instead of a 1000 boxes of 1000 sheet ream?

The vendor quote needs to be as stated in the solicitation, “1000 sheets per box.”.

8 Could 9” X 11” paper be considered acceptable?

No. The paper needs to be the size stated in the solicitation, 8 ½” x 11”.
