This document provides United States Coast Guard (USCG) responses for questions that have been asked regarding solicitation 70Z03820QE0000075. Question numbers are provided simply as a reference and in no way infer a prioritization of the questions.

Number Question USCG Response 1 In the design specifications, it indicates that the

“minimum table work surface dimensions should be four (4) feet deep and six (6) deep wide and no larger than seven (7) feet deep and eight feet side and nine (9) feet six (6) inches deep.” Can you please clarify the maximum depth? There are two depth dimensions listed?

See updated Design specifications

2 Three locations are listed as having door dimensions of 34” wide. It is also stated that the minimum surface dimension required for the tables is four (48”) feet deep and six feet (72”) wide. Can you please clarify how you expect contractors to fit the tables into these locations?

This is up to the contractors to decide how to fit these tables through the doors.

3 Can the tables be shipped in sub-assemblies and assembled on site in order to fit the door requirements?

Yes

4 HEPA filters in our design fit on top of our units.

Base on the height requirements to fit into the door (83” H and 94” H) our table height with HEPA will exceed the height. Can the HEPA after filter assembly be shipped separately with the table and fit onto the table by the end user after the tables are fit through the doors?

Yes

5 What is the maximum height that the equipment can be once inside the door?

Nine (9) feet six (6) inches

6 Technical Criteria indicates the “power controls must be customizable to accommodate shop layout.” Can you provide some more detail on this? What does this mean? For example, if the control panel needs to be mounted far away from the equipment, there will be certain load transfer components that will need to be included in the panel. Are there certain size requirements for the controls?

The statement is related to whether or not the shop is wired for 110 or 220. Additionally, what type of power cord is required.

7 Technical Criteria indicates that Operator Training needs to be included. Is the expectation that this is not in person by the manufacturer at the various sites?

No. User guides, videos, etc will be sufficient for Operating Training.

8 In the answer to number 7 is yes, can the operator training instead be done remotely either live via video conference/teleconference or through video files sent with the unit? This would be in an effort to decrease the overall price of the equipment to the Coast Guard.

N/A

9 Can everything be shipped modular? Yes

10 Can we ship a 32” table that fits through the door sideways and put it on a 4” pedestal base to achieve the 36” height?

Yes, as long as it meets the criteria when completed.
