About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for federal contract opportunity 70Z03326Q201900002 regarding the Pease Building Rebalance Heating System.
The scope of work involves testing and balancing (TAB) the heating and ventilation systems for an 18,000 square foot facility. The Pease Building utilizes a hybrid system combining hydronic heating (with radiators located under windows in upper-level berthing rooms) supplemented by forced-air ventilation. The work encompasses approximately 23 ventilation zones served by two air handling units—AHU 2 serving the upper level and AHU 3 serving the lower level. Terminal devices within the TAB scope include hydronic radiators, approximately five VAV boxes associated with the upper-level AHU, and nine VAV boxes associated with the lower-level AHU. Official engineering drawings, mechanical documentation, and previous TAB and commissioning reports are managed by the Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) and will be made available upon request during performance; limited reference prints are available on-site. A site visit is highly recommended and available prior to quotation submission, with scheduling details provided in the solicitation instructions.
