About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the installation of snow guards at the United States Coast Guard Sector Field Office in Grand Haven, Michigan. The project scope requires contractors to install rail-type, flat-mounted snow guards along the Northeast section of the roof to prevent snow and ice accumulation from falling onto condensing units. The snow guards must match the dimensions, appearance, and placement of existing snow guards already installed on the Northwest side of the roof. Materials must include ASTM B209 aluminum brackets and baseplate with clear anodized finish, and ASTM B221 aluminum bars with round profile, also clear anodized. Snow guards must withstand temperature changes from ambient to 120°F and material surface temperatures to 180°F, resist gravity loads, and prevent fastener disengagement. The contractor must provide a certified statement from the manufacturer confirming that the existing roof warranty remains unaffected by the work.
All work must be completed within 45 calendar days from the contract award date and performed during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 EST) at 650 S Harbor Drive, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
