About this file
This amendment provides answers to questions on a solicitation for an HC-144B Maintenance Training Unit. The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to build a maintenance training unit using a donated HC-144A airframe to simulate maintenance tasks for HC-144B aircraft. The solicitation includes donating one engine, propeller, and additional spare parts for the training unit, while other systems will require simulation. The amendment answers seventeen questions from potential offerors, clarifying requirements such as providing a common software load for development, allowing an optional engine balancer to be installed, and confirming paint drawings and codes will be supplied. The response due date was previously extended to May 28, 2021 at 4:00pm as stated in Amendment 06. A non-disclosure agreement form is also attached and must be completed if access to technical documents is required.
