About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for RFQ 70US0926Q70092803 Bus Parts IDV, addressing contractor inquiries regarding bus maintenance and repair services.
The government seeks maintenance and repair services on an as-needed basis rather than through a fixed service uptime agreement. Labor rates may include escalation provisions, though no dedicated service contract is desired. Services will be provided primarily from Nashville as the home location, with flexibility to utilize local repair facilities for smaller jobs. The government accepts used parts for obsolete items such as front axles, provided they are in operational condition and carry equivalent warranty to new parts. Towing services should be offered as an optional as-needed service. All repairs require individual approval from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) team; blanket approval is not available. There is no per-bus or per-incident budget cap, with costs handled on a variable, as-needed basis. The 50-mile radius mentioned relates to towing service parameters, though repairs may be conducted at non-Prevost facilities when appropriate.

Questions
1. Are you open to a 5-year service uptime agreement that includes all the maintenance that will be due on the coaches for that 5-year period? This is a monthly set amount that you pay the same over that time period. The additional repairs would be separate. – We would like to keep the services on a “as needed” bases.
2. On the additional repairs are you looking for one labor rate over the 5 years or are you open to an escalating rate? If it’s a locked rate that is provided with the service uptime contract just to note. – They can add a labor escalation rate as we do not want a dedicated service contract.
3. There are some obsolete parts like the front axles and some others is it ok to source used parts on obsolete parts? – We can utilize used parts as long as they are in operational condition and can have the same warranty as new parts.
4. On the towing are you looking for the towing to be fixed rate or just included in the contract? We can put it in the Service Uptime agreement if you want? I see a 50 mile radius but do you want these being repaired in other facilities other than a Prevost shop? – We are looking for towing to be a option for the “as needed” bases.
5. Do we need to get approval for repairs or do we have a blanket approval for any items needed? – Each repair will need approval from the COR team.
6. Is there a budget per bus?, per each time one is down? – There is no budget per bus.
This is on a “as needed” bases.
7. Would Nashville work as a home location? – Yes, Nashville will work as a home location. We would also like to utilize local repair facilities for smaller jobs if needed.
