Request for Quote: 70T04020Q9CAP1112 Amendment A00001

Attachment 1 – Questions and Answers

TSA received and is providing answers to the following questions with regard to Request for Quote

70T04020Q9CAP1112.

1. Question: Could TSA add option year pricing for CLIN 00004 to account for inflation/supply changes? The current format would apply one price across the base and 7 option years for the EDS units.

TSA Response: No. CLIN 00004 remains unchanged.

2. Question: Several of the airports in this RFP are repeat locations from the 2019 competitive RFP for MS EDS from TSA. Are these additional units for those airports or are they being re-competed?

TSA Response: These airports are being re-competed.

3. Question: Is it possible to award the airports that are repeats from the previous TSA competitive

MS EDS RFP (2019) with the previously provided pricing under that RFP in 2019?

TSA Response: TSA considers Solicitation 70T04019Q9CAP1002 to be closed. However, if an offeror chooses to use the same pricing as previously proposed for this procurement, that is a decision for the offeror to make internally.

4. Question: If the proposed EDS has an internal UPS that allows for a proper shutdown of the internal PC does that nullify the need to price in additional external UPS units?

TSA Response: Please price all CLINS as requested under the contract. External UPS may be requested/required at individual airport sites.

5. Question: Section A.6 Pricing Schedule, CLINs 00018A through 00018C – The descriptions do not match the descriptions/sizes in section B.4.9. Should pricing align with the CLIN description/sizes stated in Section B.4.9?

TSA Response: Section B.4.9 is correct. Amendment A00001 corrects A.6.

6. Question: Section D.4.2 CLIN 00010 MSEDS payment terms 100% upon successful completion of

SAT. TSA takes title at FAT/signed 251 and risk of loss transfers at pick-up (FOB Origin), so payment that should be at FAT. Can TSA please update this?

TSA Response: Amendment A00001 corrects D.4.2.

7. Question: Attachment B1 references CLIN 0014 as "reserved", the solicitation references CLIN 0014 as the bar code reader on Page 38, should the bar-code reader be separately priced under CLIN 0014 or should it be included with the unit in the MSEDS price?

TSA Response: Bar Code Readers are not required for this solicitation. Amendment A00001 deletes this from sections B.3.6.1, B.4.5, D.1.1, and D.4.2.
