About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the DHS National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL) seeking information on commercially available technologies for emergency responders. NUSTL is conducting market research for their System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program, which evaluates commercial equipment to help response organizations with procurement decisions.
The RFI seeks information on nine specific technology areas: fixed position radiation detectors, telemedicine for Emergency Medical Services, ballistic helmets, cooling vests, drone as first responder, 3D mapping, AI-based weapon detection systems, underwater unmanned vehicles, and radiation simulation systems. Responses are due by March 9, 2025 at 4:00 PM EST via an online survey that requests company information, product details, capabilities, use cases, limitations and pricing. The RFI falls under AEL item 04AP-02-OAPT for Operations Area Personnel Tracking and Accountability systems. While no contract will be awarded directly from this RFI, submitted information may be used in SAVER program documentation and shared with federal, state, local, tribal and territorial response agencies.
