Local Area Set-Aside Clarification

Please allow this correspondence to provide additional guidance as to the meaning of local area set aside. Please note, FEMA never discourages bidding on a requirement in the event set-asides cannot be met, nor is it a waste of time to do such.

This local set-aside is for businesses based in Florida because travel expenses will not be reimbursed.

I provided two counties and three cities (Lee County (Fort Myers & Sanibel) & Charlotte County (Port Charlotte) that FEMA has built and will possibly build groups sites in.

Ask these questions:

1. Is my business physically based in the State of Florida?

2. Can I provide proof my business is based in the State of Florida (i.e. FL business license)?

3. Do I have a physical address in FL?

4. Are there restrictions on my FL business license that only limits my business to operate in certain cities?

5. Does my business allow me to provide services in Fort Myers, Sanibel, and

Port Charlotte cities?

Please note businesses must meet the requirements outlined in the statement of work and request for quote. Please pay special attention to what is being requested and provide a response accordingly.
