About this file
This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) attachment related to Request for Quotes (RFQ) 70B06C24Q00000175 issued by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for Miniature Red Dot Sight (MRDS) compatible duty handgun holsters and accessories. The RFQ requires brand name Safariland products and lists specific model numbers for the Glock 43X, 19, and 47 handguns. It clarifies that the AG-NP packaging refers to space-saving packaging for CBP, and that partial quotes will not be accepted as CBP intends to make a single award. The RFQ also states that alternatives to the specified Safariland 6390RDS and 7390RDS models for the Glock 43X will not be accepted, as those models are for uniformed duty use versus the Glock 43X which is a concealed carry handgun. The estimated period of performance is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027.

Request for Quotes (RFQ) 70B06C24Q00000175 Attachment 3- Question & Answers
# Offeror Question Government Answer Changes to RFQ 1 Some of the items I am not able to quote because it had AG-NP at the end of the part number and these were not on the factory price sheet. I wanted to know if these were special make ups?
The AG-NP refers to the packaging of the holsters to save space.
Commercial products from Safariland that are packaged for retail are individually packaged in a hard sided clear display box with pictures. This packaging is cumbersome and takes up a ton of storage space that CBP does not have. Safariland started the FED/DOD packaging to save warehouse space that lower costs.
None.
2 Will you accept partial quotes? CBP will not accept partial quotes as per Section III.2, Pg. 25 (middle of page), CBP intends to make a single award. By accepting partial quotes, it puts CBP in a position to not be able to award all line items that are necessary to meet CBP needs. Accordingly, we will not accept partial quotes.
None.
3 I am seeking clarification regarding the required Safariland models 6390RDS and 7390RDS. Upon contacting Safariland, I was informed that they do not offer these specific models for the Glock 43X.
Could you please provide me with a list of acceptable alternatives for the Glock 43X that would meet your requirements?
The 6390’s and 7390’s are uniformed duty holsters and the Glock 43x is a small concealable plain clothes holster not authorized for uniformed carry. The SOW also lists the SOLIS holster for this reason. The line items list SOLIS holsters for the Glock 47, 19, and 43x. No alternatives will be accepted.
None.
