About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the City of Fort Worth Purchasing Division, Reference #25-0231, for Ready-Mix Concrete and Flowable Fill materials and services. The scope covers ready-mix concrete materials for various municipal infrastructure projects including street repairs, road construction, utility installations, park facilities, trails, playgrounds, sports fields, and recreational paths. The City will schedule concrete services 3-5 days prior to project commencement, with preferred delivery truck sizes of 10 and 12 cubic yards. All concrete will be subject to city testing for compliance with specifications, and vendors must provide batch tickets for each concrete discharge.
The specifications detail precise technical requirements for concrete composition, including Portland cement types, aggregate specifications, additives, and flowable fill material standards. The materials must meet specific ASTM, TXDOT, and American Concrete Institute guidelines, with detailed requirements for cement properties, compressive strength, set times, and material composition. Vendors are required to have adequate facilities, equipment, and trained personnel, and may be subject to pre-award inspections. The bid includes provisions for transportation/delivery rates and fuel surcharges, and mandates that any defective work or materials must be replaced at the vendor's expense to maintain project quality and structural integrity.
