About this file

This is an insurance requirements document for Broward County, Florida's Natural Resources Division regarding the purchase and delivery of consumables for a proficiency testing program. The document specifies that no proof of insurance is required if delivery will be by common carrier, but otherwise outlines comprehensive insurance coverage requirements for contractors.

The insurance requirements include general liability coverage with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence and aggregate for bodily injury and property damage, auto liability coverage of $500,000 for combined bodily injury and property damage (which may be waived if no driving is involved), workers' compensation with statutory limits, and employer's liability coverage of $100,000 per accident. The document specifies that Broward County must be named as additional insured for liability coverage, the insured's insurance must provide primary coverage without requiring contribution from the county, and waiver of subrogation applies in favor of Broward County. For claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion, with maximum deductibles set at $10,000 for most coverage types.
