About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document for Broward County's Water and Wastewater Services division pertaining to the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) Laboratory Assessments project. The vendor must conduct on-site assessments of two laboratories—the Water and Wastewater Services Lab in Pompano Beach, Florida and the Environmental Monitoring Lab in Davie, Florida—evaluating each against 2016 NELAC standards, including all pre- and post-assessment activities. The project is located in Florida and involves comprehensive laboratory accreditation assessments.

The insurance requirements mandate that the contractor maintain General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Auto Liability with $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits; Workers' Compensation at statutory limits; Employers' Liability of $100,000 per accident; and Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate, with a maximum deductible of $100,000. Broward County must be named as an additional insured, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage without contribution from the County. The contractor must provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations. For Claims-Made policies, insurance must remain in force and evidence of coverage must be provided for at least three years after contract completion. A waiver of subrogation applies in favor of Broward County.
