About this file

This is a product specification document for the Broward County Historic Markers Project, a three-year contract with two optional renewal years for the production of historical identification markers in Florida. The project seeks vendors to manufacture custom full-color digitally printed circular markers (15-inch diameter) designed for outdoor installation at historic sites within Broward County. Each order will include two identical marker panels per site, along with mounting brackets, hardware, and aluminum or PVC mounting posts (1.5-inch minimum diameter, 6-foot length). The markers are intended for educational and historical purposes and will be delivered to the Urban Planning Division in Plantation, Florida, with no installation services required from the vendor. The project will identify the number of sites and associated orders on an as-needed basis throughout the contract period.

The markers must be constructed from laminated panel, aluminum, and plexiglass composite materials and shall be sufficiently weatherproof and fade-resistant to maintain appearance for approximately 10 to 20 years, with a minimum 10-year fading warranty required. Design specifications and property information will be provided by Broward County for each individual historic site. The specification document does not include information regarding pricing terms, bid submission deadlines, response dates, site visits, bidder conferences, award dates, funding sources, or set-asides.
