About this file

This is a Human Trafficking awareness and compliance document applicable to the Port Orange Freestanding Emergency Department Irrigation project in Florida. The document outlines mandatory requirements and policies that contractors and service providers must follow to prevent human trafficking and ensure compliance with state and federal anti-trafficking regulations. The attachment establishes that all bidders, contractors, and subcontractors are required to acknowledge and adhere to human trafficking prevention standards, including prohibitions against engaging in or facilitating human trafficking activities, forced labor, or any related illegal practices. The document mandates that contractors implement appropriate monitoring and reporting procedures to identify and report any suspected human trafficking incidents to relevant authorities.

The human trafficking compliance requirements apply to all contract work performed under the irrigation system installation project. Contractors must certify their understanding and agreement to comply with human trafficking prevention laws and may be required to provide evidence of compliance. The document serves as a binding contractual obligation, with potential penalties for non-compliance including contract termination, debarment from future contracting opportunities, and referral to law enforcement authorities. All bidders must acknowledge receipt and comprehension of these requirements as part of their proposal submission, making human trafficking compliance a condition precedent to contract award and performance.
