About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to Bid No. 25-0095-3 issued by the Chatham County Purchasing & Contracting Department in Georgia for the purchase and installation of multiple compressor and fill station systems. The bid opening is scheduled for 2:00 PM on August 7, 2025, and the addendum addresses three key questions from potential bidders regarding the procurement. The primary requirements include compressor systems that must be manufactured in the United States, meet specific technical specifications, and include a five-year warranty.
The addendum clarifies that alternative or non-US-manufactured equipment will not be considered, even if they meet most technical requirements. Specifically, the document indicates that bidders must provide compressor systems with a three-phase electric motor rated at a minimum of 10 HP, and precise location measurements for installation are not currently available. The county emphasizes strict compliance with all specified requirements, leaving no room for significant deviations in manufacturing origin, technical specifications, or warranty terms. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum and make necessary changes to their proposals accordingly.

CHATHAM COUNTY PURCHASING & CONTRACTING DEPARTMENT
ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO BID NO. 25-0095-3
FOR: PURCHASE AND INTALLATION OF MULTIPLE COMPRESSOR
AND FILL STATION SYSTEMS
PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING FOR ADDITIONS, CLARIFICATIONS AND/OR
CHAGES:
1. QUESTION: The first requirement for the compressor systems is to be made in the
US, would the government consider units NOT made in the US that still meet all other requirements?
RESPONSE: No.
2. QUESTION: Based on the specs, the Coltri compressor checks most of the boxes, including pressure, CFM, filtration, and monitoring. However, it’s not made in the
USA, the cabinet footprint is larger than allowed, and the standard warranty doesn’t meet the 5-year requirement without negotiation an Md an extended warranty purchase. The SSx2 fill station does meet all the requirements. Is the County open to consider alternatives or is strict compliance is needed?
RESPONSE: Must be made in the USA and meet all requirements set forth in the specifications.
3. QUESTION: What are the measurements of each location for the compressor and fill station to fit and are they single or three phase electric power ready?
RESPONSE:Meassurements are not available at this time, but are at each location and access to them is adequate to fit a typical compressor and fill station. Per Section
II-A, line item 4: Motor and Drive System are “three-phase electric motor with a minimum rating of 10 HP”.
THE BID OPENING REMAINS: 2:00PM, AUGUST 7, 2025
