About this file

This is a contract clause from Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) establishing payment procedures for contractors. The document, PD-124 (effective October 20, 2023), mandates that all payments under ANL contracts shall be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) or wire transfer. For domestic contractors, if the Laboratory cannot release payments via EFT/Wire, alternative payment methods such as check or other mutually agreed methods may be arranged through submission of the ANL-1094 "Electronic Transfer Authorization Form." For foreign contractors, wire payment is the only acceptable payment method unless special consideration is requested and approved by the Procurement office, as alternative arrangements could delay net payment.

The Laboratory will not process any payments until after receipt of the completed ANL-1094 form by Accounts Payable, which must contain correct EFT payment information from the contractor. The document explicitly states that any intermediary or beneficiary banking charges and fees assessed by the contractor's bank are the sole responsibility of the contractor. A link to the ANL-1094 form is provided in the award documentation.

The Laboratory is not required to make any payment under this contract until after receipt of the ANL-1094 (a link is provided in the award documentation), by Accounts Payable of the correct EFT payment information from the contractor. Any intermediary or beneficiary banking charges/fees assessed by the contractor’s bank are the sole responsibility of the Contractor.
