About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&As) file for Solicitation Number 6991PE25Q000004, which concerns a Tug Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the U.S. Department of Transportation Maritime Administration. The Q&As address two specific vendor inquiries: first, regarding an insurance requirement where 14-day cancellation notice is deemed acceptable if explicitly noted in the quote submission, and second, providing clarification on calculating the Total Evaluated Price by summing proposed BPA hourly rates across specific columns in the price sheet. Questions and Answers (Q&As) Solicitation Number: 6991PE25Q000004
FOR:
Tug Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)
1. Question: With respect to insurance requirement 8(d), our insurer is only able to provide 14 days' prior notice of cancellation, rather than the 30 days specified. Please advise if this is acceptable?
Answer: Yes, this is acceptable. If a quoter is deviating from the 30-day requirement, the quoter should indicate so in their quote submission. Otherwise, it is expected that the quoter will comply with the 30-day requirement stated in the Section 8(d) of the BPA Terms and Conditions.
2. Question: 1. Regarding the Total Evaluated Price listed on the Price Sheet, what format should we use to calculate that amount? Are there a specific number of hours per year that we should be utilizing for pricing consideration?
Answer: The total evaluated price is the sum of proposed BPA hourly rates in Column B (B8+B9+B14+B15+B20+B21+B26+B27+B32+B33). Once the hourly rates are inputted in the price sheet, the total evaluated price in cell B35 should auto-populate. Quoters should not change the formula in cell B35.
