About this file

This document is an Amendment (A001) to a federal highway construction solicitation for the Causey Reservoir Access project (UT FLAP WEB 10(1)) in Weber County, Utah. The amendment modifies the original solicitation by updating various bid schedule line items, technical specifications, and contract requirements across Schedule A and Options X, Y, and Z, which collectively involve road reconstruction and improvements along Causey Road, Wheat Grass Canyon Road, and Skull Crack Road.

The project, managed by the Federal Highway Administration, involves multiple road rehabilitation and reconstruction segments totaling approximately 2.6 miles, including roadway excavation, aggregate placement, asphalt concrete pavement, guardrail installation, culvert replacements, mechanically stabilized earth walls, and associated traffic control and erosion control measures. The solicitation is set aside for full and open competition with a HUBZone price preference, and the work is located within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The amendment includes updates to technical specifications, bid schedule quantities, and construction requirements, with specific focus on improving road access, safety, and driver expectations in a terrain ranging from 5,464 to 5,779 feet in elevation.
