About this file
This document is a federal solicitation amendment (Amendment A001) for a Roadway Construction Project by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Central Federal Lands Highway Division. The solicitation (Number 6982AF25B000008) is for the Minuteman Missile Access Roads project in Colorado, with a sealed bid (IFB) type procurement. Key details include a bid due date of 12/09/25 at 2:00 p.m. local time, a mandatory 10-calendar day performance start period, and performance bond requirements. The amendment updates technical specifications for aggregate courses, specifically modifying sections related to untreated aggregate course construction, measurement, and payment, with detailed requirements for surface course aggregate gradation, liquid limit, and plasticity index. The contract will use a Fixed-Price Variable-Scope (FPVS) procurement methodology, with the surface course aggregate contract unit price to be calculated at award based on mileage bid.
