Questions Answers

On the bid items it has a Government furnished office trailer-

A0700 63701-0000 FIELD OFFICE (GOVERNMENT

FURNISHED)

In the SCR’s, we interpret it that the contractor must furnish the office trailer. Section 637.01 and 637.02 state to provide facilities and services.

It is understood that the contractor is to provide the services. Is the contractor to provide the facility or will the Government provide the facility?

2 What are the implications for the project end date if Option X is awarded?

3 If NTP is not issued by 11/4/24 how will those delays be added back into the project with no work allowed during the month of

April?

4 Does the 48” RCP need to be ARCH or will circular RCP be accepted?

A 5’Wx3’H box culvert may be considered. Submit a value engineering proposal after award.

5 Will FHWA accept 5x3 box culvert in place of the 48”ARCH

RCP?

A 5’Wx3’H box culvert may be considered. Submit a value engineering proposal after award.

6 Do the Superintendent, SSHO and QC Manager need to be 3 separate individuals?

See SCR 153.02(a)(1) Qualifications. No SSHO is required.

7 Can the period of performance be extended after award once the material/equipment lead times are confirmed due to current market conditions for the equipment for this project?

Time extensions may be considered under FAR Clause 52.249-10

8 Are soil boring reports available? If not, it will be assumed that excavation will be clear of rocks and obstructions.

9 Is there a sign schedule available? If not, what sizes should be assumed for the signage package?

10 Confirm Texas DOT mixes are sufficient for asphalt and concrete. See Special Contract Requirement Section 403

11 Will an extension be issued to allow contractors time for review of new plans/updated specs in order to send proposals via mail?

No time extensions are being considered at this moment.
