Responses to Questions for 697DCK-24-R-00521 Amendment 0001:

1. What is the name of current contractor?

Response: EMTS Inc.

2. What is the current yearly cost?

Response: $140, 641.00

3. Did the scope of work change from current contract?

Response: Yes, added emptying ash trays outside. Reference the Statement of Work.

4. We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Response: No, the previous Contract Number is 697DCK-19-C-00175.

5. I sent out someone to inspect the grounds and we just wanted to confirm do they appear to be correct in the map? We are not sure about the strip of grass outside of the gate and the entry/exit planters.

Response: A map was not provided with this SIR. However, the strip of grass, outside the fence and between the gates, east of the property, is included as part of the contract maintenance requirements.

6. Can you confirm that the bid/offer is to be delivered to the location in item 6 (NAS Logistics South- San Diego).

Response: No. See 3.2.2.3-20 Offers, for instructions on where to submit your offer.

7. The project location is surrounded by a security fence. Can you advise the limits and/or setbacks of the work area? Is any work to be included beyond the security fence on either the east access (Burns Place) or the north access road along Firestone Road?

Response: The strip of grass and other vegetation outside the east fence, up to the north and south fence line is included as part of the contract maintenance requirements. This does not include the agave plants. All trees around the fence line of the property are included. Any weeds/vegetation touching the outside of the fence line is included. All other areas outside of the fence line are maintained by the Airport.

8. Please confirm if repair / replacement work associated with the existing irrigation system (i.e. failed controller) would be covered under a change order, or otherwise be excluded from the maintenance contract.

Response: The contractor must be responsible for repair and maintenance of all valves post the main valve. Likewise, the contractor must be responsible for replacing broken/defective sprinklers, and all other sprinkler system parts. This is at no additional cost to the government. See revised Statement of Work. (para 1.2h, 1.3i)
