Offerors must provide an example of internal documentation demonstrating inspection of supplies such as shade material and rollers to ensure requirements are met. QUESTIONS & RESPONSES
August 24, 2023
1. QUESTION: It mentions the following: “Provide one hard copy of the warranty to the COR and/or SSC and provide and electronic copy of the warranty to the CO.” How would you like this? Is there a mailing address? Or is this something to be provided at a later date? There will be an electronic copy included in the proposal, would you like a copy in a separate email as well?
1. RESPONSE: Per Attachment J-1 Statement of Work, a hard copy of the warranty is to be provided to the COR and/or SSC once the installation is complete and provide an electronic copy to the Contracting Officer. Furthermore, Quality Control and Risk Management under Factor 1 Management Approach requires Offerors to provide internal documentation (checklist and warranty) as an example with their proposal to be considered eligible for award.
2. QUESTION: In the business proposal, Volume II, section 3a., it states : “provide internal documentation to illustrate how supplies (shade material and rollers) are inspected to ensure they meet requirements in Attachment J-1…” We explain this process in the QC section, but does this require further explanation, or is a form/checklist more appropriate?
RESPONSE: In accordance with Quality Control and Risk Management under Factor 1 Management Approach Offerors must provide an example of internal documentation used to demonstrate the inspection of supplies that will be provided under the awarded contract. Please refer to clause 3.10.4-2 INSPECTION OF SUPPLIES - FIXED PRICE (NOV 1997) on page 6 of SIR, 697DCK-23-R-00420.
