1. Is it required to replace the culverts crossing the road?

a. FAA Response: Yes.

2. Can the contractor leave the tree stumps in place to stabilize the road edge from future erosion?

a. FAA Response: Remove all stumps and plant materials.

3. Can Stainless steel fuel pipe be used? By the time the pipe is wrapped and painted it would be worth looking at stainless option.

a. FAA Response: Give proposals for Stainless Steel and Steel fuel piping.

4. What is the length required for the concrete vault?

a. FAA Response: Approx. 31 feet.

5. What is the height the FAA wants to see the Cargo line at running along the road edge?

a. FAA Response: 4 feet above the road grade.

6. Who is responsible for ensuring the old line is empty and clean prior to deconstruction?

a. FAA Response: FAA will pig the line to remove bulk fuel but cannot promise there will not be residual fuel in the line. The Contractor should investigate additional pigging options to clean the line for disposal.

7. Please define the grading and widening of the road in section D of the SOW Installation and Site Prep.

a. FAA Response: The FAA requirement is to be able to walk the entire line and have access for visual inspection. The drainage ditch on the west side of the road with the existing fuel cargo line does not need to be filled in. The shoulders of the road along the edge of the beach can be filled with gravel for walkable access.

8. Is there a requirement to update the SPCC/RFP plan?

a. FAA Response: Yes. It is required to be updated, signed, and stamped by a qualified engineer.

See attached SPCC/RFP and amended SOW. The updates to the plan only pertain to the fuel cargo line itself.
