14. Description of Amendment (continued): It has been determined necessary and in the best interest of the government to amend the solicitation to provide responses to Requests for Information (RFIs); incorporate additional terms and conditions; adjust the period of performance for project completion; and extend the offer due date and time.

14.1. The following responses to RFIs are hereby provided to prospective offerors:

1. RFI: Surface Preparation – Will the contractor be allowed to utilize the water supply from the building to pressure wash the surfaces prior to painting?

Response: The contractor may utilize the existing hose bibbs. There is one at each side of the building.

2. RFI: Are metal railings of the tower required to be painted?

Response: This project does not include paining of tower railings.

3. RFI: During the site visit, we have evaluated that the construction schedule would be impossible to meet due to site conditions; construction safety requirements;

obstruction of plants along the wall; setting/positioning of equipment; and the safety of workers. We therefore request to amend the construction schedule for a longer work period.

Response: The period of performance for this project is hereby increased from 22 days to 44 calendar days.

14.2. Solicitation Scope of Work Section 01 11 00 (Summary of Work) and Acquisition Management System (AMS) clause 3.2.2.3-71 (Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (Jul 2004)) are hereby updated to reflect the change in period of performance from 22 to 44 calendar days within the solicitation and resultant contract.

14.3. The following AMS Clauses are hereby incorporated into the solicitation and any resultant contract:
