1. I have included a Liebert LRS (performance runs) for the units at altitude of 4500' which show the criteria which we can meet. I assumed that the most important criteria was Sensible Cooling and Flow rate so I picked a model number which most closely met that criteria. There are other values do not match up with the SCHEDULE but which are very close. Answer: Sensible cooling, electrical requirements and CFM shall meet or exceed the Scheduled values. Other Values may be within 10% of the specified ratings in the equipment schedule.

2. SPEC Section 2.3.E calls for Merv-13 filters. If we supply Merv-13 with the selected AHU units(@ .5" ESP and 4500' elevation) the CFM and ESP goes down which decreases the Sensible Cooling where we don't meet the Scheduled values. We are quoting Merv-8 Filters which are the Liebert Standard for Datacenters. These were also supplied for the current FAA Control Wing project is SLC. Answer: MERV – 8 filters will be allowed

3. SPEC Section 2.3.H.10 calls for a DOC interface. We are providing the ICOM Base Comm. Options which is now built into the ICOM processor (formerly it was the IS-UNITY-DP card) with each unit which will enable a BMS system to monitor almost every alarm, status or setpoint in the system . This information can be accessed with Modbus, Bacnet or SNMP protocols. Answer: Any control style that will communicate with the existing controls interface is acceptable. Note indicates that it shall communicate to DDC system

4. DRAWING M005 & M105 describes Interlock Wiring and the Damper System to prevent backflow when a CRAC unit is offline. With the new EC fan design -the damper system is not needed since the offline CRAC can be programmed to go into "low-airflow mode" which will keep the EC fans moving just enough air to prevent backflow through the unit. This "low-airflow mode" is enabled even when the unit is in stand-by mode in a lead-lag setup. The only time it will not work is when the unit is powered off.

Again, this option was used with the current FAA Control Wing project is SLC. Answer: Damper system is a manufacturer requirement IF necessary. With EC fans, some manufacturers, I.E. Liebert, don’t utilize this option. That is acceptable.

5. SPEC Section 2.3.F calls for Steam Gen. Humidifier. We are providing a Infrared Humidifiers. Liebert does not offer a Steam Generating Canister type for these Chilled Water units. Answer: Omit humidifier call out in this spec. Infrared humidifier with solids deterrent is scheduled

6. Sheet M004—the 2” chilled & 1 ½” heating pipes at grid JJ rise up to coils above…where do these pipes go? I can’t find a plan sheet showing these pipes routing to the coils above. Answer: These pipes continue into the 2nd floor. They should not need to be accessed during construction so no drawing is provided.
