About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for Solicitation 6973GH-25-R-00137, a Gantry Crane Inspection project for the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Franchise Acquisition Services. The Q&A provides detailed information about gantry crane specifications across multiple southern and northern border locations, including crane types, hoist manufacturers, and crane heights ranging from 15' to 20'.

The solicitation requires vendors to inspect overhead gantry cranes according to OSHA guidelines, perform load testing, and certify equipment by attaching appropriate labels. The cranes are located in various states including Texas, California, Arizona, Montana, Maine, and Washington, with capacities of 1-ton and 2-ton. The load testing will verify crane capacity, structural integrity, and stability, and contractors can expect to either move cranes or have accessible positioning for weight testing. All listed hoists are confirmed to be chain hoists.
