Questions and Answers received for the Solicitation 6973GH-22-Q-00210 Mission Bay, San Diego, CA
1. Please direct us to the correct point of contact with the City of San Diego to grant permission to operate from Fiesta Island for the transport of materials to and from the FAA VOR Island. The FAA does not have a point of contact for use of Fiesta Island. The contractor will be responsible for determining proper landing facilities for material transport.
2. Please confirm that the Contractor would be allowed to position work barges in the water on a 24 / 7 bases at the various work areas around the FAA VOR Island. Contractor responsible for obtaining offshore staging area permission from City of San Diego
3. It is our understanding that the work is to be completed by the end of the Least Tern Season - April 1, 2023, which will be challenging given the timing of the permit process. It is requested that the number of contract days be extended to at least 564 so that if it is not possible to complete the project by April 1, 2023 due to permit timing that the contractor will have additional time after September 15, 2023 to complete the project. The FAA is fine with extending the contract terms.
