About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) amendment for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Security Systems Maintenance (SSM) solicitation, Amendment 0003 for SIR 693KA8-25-R-00023. The Q&A addresses five key vendor questions regarding proposal submission requirements, certifications, system maintenance, and personnel qualifications. Key clarifications include: only the prime offeror needs to submit Section I of the proposal, offerors can provide written justification for equivalent certifications, the contract does not require installing GENETEC or Lenel systems, and Lenel and GENETEC certifications are specifically required for the Lead Senior Security Systems Engineer as key personnel. The document provides detailed responses from the FAA to help potential offerors understand the solicitation requirements more precisely.

However, the design and install of GENETEC and Lenel systems fall under the FAA Security System Design and Integration (SSDI II) contract and would pose significant contractual conflict.

No, Per C.11.1.5 Failed or damaged equipment/software must be repaired or replaced to provide performance specified by the manufacturer and original site configuration settings.
