QUESTIONS REGARDING REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NUMBER 693C7319Q000045 - 10/4/19
1. Will the recommendation of the RBC Relocation Plan drive the schedule of the culvert replacement?
The schedules of the RBC relocation and culvert replacement will be coordinated after the award of both contracts, with the understanding that the relocation needs to occur prior to the culvert replacement.
1. Will the road remain open during the RBC relocation and or culvert replacement? Can the road be closed during RBC relocation?
Closure of FS Route 425 for the culvert replacement may be permitted with approval by the contracting officer. Closure of FS Route 425 for the RBC relocation may also be permitted if necessary; however, traffic volumes on this road are generally very low, and so full closure of the road is most likely not necessary.
1. What is the spatial distribution of the 17 rooted crowns within the LOD? Is there a map or shapefile available?
The exact spatial distribution of the 17 rooted crowns within the LOD is not documented; however, the last survey completed by the Forest Service found 6 rooted crowns on the right side of the road and 11 rooted crowns on the left side of the road.
1. Who is the contractor selected to replace the culvert and can you provide contact information?
The contractor for the culvert replacement project has not been determined.
