About this file

This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for machinery repairs and inspections aboard the Training Ship Kennedy. The amendment provides additional clarification to potential offerors.

Work includes inspection and repair of pumps, generators, condensers, air ejectors, thrust bearings, steam strainers and other machinery. The period of performance is March 10 to May 10, 2021. A site visit was held on February 9, 2021 and the amendment addresses questions submitted by potential offerors. Clarification is provided on inspection scopes, components, testing requirements, and which technical representatives must attend dock trials after work is complete. Offerors must price for potential return trips for dock trials. The solicitation is issued by the Maritime Administration for work onboard a federal vessel.

QUESTION ANSWER

General Question: What hours will the contractor be allowed to access the ship?

Vessel working hours are 0700 to 1600, Monday thru Friday. Contractor may not work vessel outside of these hours, or during legal holidays.
