A1) YES

Q2) What is the distance between the pilot eye point and the DEP, as well as from the Copilot eye point to DEP?

A2) -17.5”

Q3) Can FAA please provide updated room dimensions if ceiling lighting and or ducting is moved to maximize height?

A3) Use the ceiling height in the SIR, there is no approval to move lighting structure at this time.

Q4) Is moving the s-76 cockpit to another room or section of the hangar with larger dimensions a possibility?

A4) No.

Q5) Is it possible to enlarge the 10x10 wall opening?

A5) No, not at this time.

Q6) Can FAA please confirm that lifting equipment will be made available to perform the installation. (i.e. is there an overhead crane, or lifts that can be brought into the hanger?

A6) Per SOW 4.1 Equipment/Tools. Vendors must be responsible for securing all heavy equipment needed to lift and assemble the visual system components, as well as all tools needed for all aspects of system assembly. Provided it fits through the wall opening.

Q7) Is the FAA open to an enclosed Visual Structure solution?

A7) Yes as long as meet the requirements in the SOW.

Q8) Will a solution with more projectors than indicated be acceptable?

A8) Per SOW 2.3.1, no more than six is required at this time.

Q9) Is the FAA willing to make modifications to the S-76 cockpit to facilitate more cost-effective solutions? For example, I.e. movement of existing actuators to allow for the implementation of a rear ingress/egress solution?

A9) No, as we want to maintain the side entry and observation deck behind the seats.

Q10) Does the FAA have an intention to upgrade the device to support vibration and/or motion in the future?

A10) Not at this time.

Q11) Would the existing FAA cockpit frame/structure meet the specifications for vibration and/or motion use?

A11) No, the existing frame will need to be replaced.

A12) Due to the customization aspect of the work involved. Will the FAA consider schedules that exceed the requested period of performance?

Q12) Per SIR, the Period of Performance is 2 years.
