About this file

The document contains technical specifications for trapezoidal rubber fenders for the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. The specifications outline detailed requirements for two rubber fender designs - a 16" thick and a 10" thick version - with precise dimensional drawings and fabrication guidelines. Key requirements include shop-drilled holes, specific handling and packaging instructions, and a minimum 60-day warranty against material or workmanship defects.

The manufacturer must submit certified rubber material properties and shop drawings for approval prior to production. Fabrication must strictly adhere to Drawing Numbers SLS-370-69/1A-R2 and SLS-370-69/2A-R2, with all pieces carefully handled to prevent damage. Dunnage must be provided during shipping to allow forklift access without damaging the fenders. The specifications are part of a small business set-aside solicitation (NAICS Code 326291) with a 750-employee size standard, requiring delivery within 90 days of contract award to the GLS Receiving Warehouse in Massena, NY.
