About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Project ID FLAP CLEAR 4783(1), Dent Bridge Road Improvements. The document addresses three technical inquiries related to alternative materials and design specifications for the project, all dated September 14, 2026.
The Q&A clarifies that project-specific alternative materials may be submitted as questions or RFIs during the solicitation/offer period; however, proposed changes to pavement or geotechnical design will be evaluated as value engineering change proposals (VECP) under FAR Part 48 after task order issuance. Technical approval and specification review for Section 305 FDR material will be the responsibility of the WFLHD Construction Operations Engineer and WFLHD Pavement Engineer. Specific material requirements, including submittal requirements, field testing, and non-field testing specifications, will be detailed in the upcoming solicitation documents rather than specified in this Q&A document.
