Dent Bridge Road Improvements Project Plans
This document is a comprehensive set of plans and specifications for the Dent Bridge Road Improvements project (ID FLAP CLEAR 4783(1)) in Clearwater County, Idaho, prepared by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. The project involves base reconditioning, paving, and permanent traffic control revisions on a 4.69-mile section of Dent Bridge Road extending from milepoint 0.31 to 5.00 (station 26+50 to 274+00). The work includes shoulder reconditioning for 9.85 miles, full depth reclamation with cement at 8-inch depth covering 72,600 square yards, asphalt pavement milling and placement, guardrail system installation and replacement at four locations with 287 linear feet of new MGS Type 2 Class A steel posts and 7 terminal systems, and deep patch repairs in one localized area from station 87+45 to 89+30.
The project specifications reference Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-24) and include detailed bid schedule quantities for mobilization, survey, quality control, soil erosion control (600 linear feet of fiber roll), removal and installation of signs and delineators, subexcavation (1,440 cubic yards), select borrow (1,120 cubic yards), stabilization geotextile and geogrid, roadway aggregate, asphalt concrete pavement (14,950 tons), underdrain systems, and pavement markings. Temporary and permanent traffic control plans are provided with specific sign placement, construction signs totaling 550 square feet, tubular markers, temporary pavement markings, flagger and pilot car operations, and permanent pavement markings including lane-use arrows and yield line markings. Standard drawings for guardrail installation, fiber roll erosion control, and pavement markings are incorporated by reference, detailing installation requirements, dimensions, and maintenance specifications.
