It looks like we would be required to excavate about 8’ feet below existing pavement 40 feet north of the road. The bore pits do not appear to extend into the steep slope sufficiently to determine if bedrock is likely at the depth required for the vault installation. Will bedrock excavation in that area be considered an unforeseen or changed condition as the bore pits do not cover the entire excavation zone?
The Geotechnical physical data presents the existing conditions observed based on the scope of the investigation performed.
Perform a site visit to evaluate the geotechnical information presented, and the existing site conditions.

What slope stabilization and restoration will be required in the slope area above the “Rockery Wall”? The plans show a 2/1 slope which exceeds OSHA standards without shoring. The excavation at the edge of the footing could be in excess of 26’ deep when you take into account the overburden of the sloping hillside. This could result in a massive upslope excavation.
Please clarify the requirements.
Perform work according to FP‐14 Section
252. Also see FP‐14 Subsection 209.01, and conform to the requirements of FP‐14 Section 209 for excavating and backfilling behind the rockery.
