About this file
This is a Notice to Contractors issued by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) District 6 regarding generator maintenance and testing services at various locations throughout the district. The project encompasses a three-year contract term with services including routine maintenance, testing, and inspections of backup generators at multiple MassDOT facilities. Interested contractors are required to submit sealed bids by the specified due date, with bid submissions to be made directly to MassDOT rather than through the COMMBUYS procurement system. The notice outlines the scope of work, which involves preventive maintenance activities, load testing, and emergency response capabilities to ensure generator reliability across District 6 operations.
The contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all technical and administrative requirements specified in the bidding documents. Contractors should note that this is a firm-fixed price contract for the three-year period, and all pricing must be fully inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, and any incidental costs associated with generator maintenance and testing services. MassDOT District 6 will evaluate bids based on compliance with specifications, contractor qualifications, experience with similar projects, and the ability to provide consistent service throughout the contract term. Bidders are advised to review all contract documents carefully and direct inquiries to the listed MassDOT contact prior to submission of their proposals.
