About this file
This document is a flyer issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Division of Procurement and Contracting regarding Solicitation Number 6100051358 for Legionella Water Sampling at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home (PSSH) and the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home (HVH). The flyer outlines changes to the original solicitation, including requirements for the lab conducting the testing to be accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation and to use the ISO 11731:2017 (E) test method. The flyer clarifies that "inspection" refers to the findings and respective report, that remediation will be handled by the facility, and that additional quantities for retesting may be added at any point during the contract period. The Commonwealth requires the lab to provide specific count and species information in the final quarterly report, and will identify the sites to be tested to avoid duplication.
The flyer also indicates that this is an ongoing contract, with the potential for increased quantities for retesting as needed. Pricing and other salient commercial terms are not included in this flyer, which focuses on the technical requirements and changes to the original solicitation.

| Changes: 1. What certification does the lab require? What test method are we to use? Is test just enumeration or also species identification? |
-Labs should be Accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation and provide certification number. Method for lab sampling to be followed ISO 11731:2017 (E).
2. What does “inspection” mean as related to this section?
-Inspection is the findings and the respective report.
3. If remediation is required is outside the scope of this solicitation and not to be included, but merely recommended?
-Remediation will be done by the facility.
4. Retesting – I assume for positive locations after some remedial action. Are these retests at an additional cost or to be included in this solicitation?
-Additional quantities may be added to the lines items at any point during the contracts period for re-testing. Quantities will be estimated. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities based on actual need.
5. Do you need to see count & species?
-YES, we need to see specific count and species notated on the final quarterly report
6. Will you identify sites for us or will we need to identify them once on site?
-We will identify them. We keep record of what’s been tested so we don’t have the same water supply tested when sampling.
