About this file

This is a General Requirements document for Request for Bids (RFC) PWO129617 issued by Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement on behalf of Public Works Operations for the supply of aluminum sign blanks. The solicitation invites qualified vendors to submit bids for provision of these products, with the resulting contract having a six-year term effective upon execution. While no minimum or maximum purchase quantities are specified, the approximate annual purchase amount is estimated at $50,000 for planning purposes only. All delivery must be FOB destination with freight pre-paid, bundled and palletized, to Salt Lake County's specified location at 6404 S Airport Road, West Jordan, Utah 84088, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with prior notification required at 801-580-8494. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications and offering the lowest overall cost including delivery charges.

Pricing terms require bid prices to remain firm for 12 months, with vendors required to submit a published price list or catalog as part of their bid submission or within five working days of notification. The contract utilizes a discount-off-list pricing methodology, whereby bidders submit a percentage discount applicable to their published price list, and this discount percentage remains fixed throughout the entire contract term. Price escalation requests may be submitted no less than 60 days prior to the effective date and require written approval from the Purchasing Agent with supporting documentation tied to independent indices. Conversely, any price decreases must be passed immediately to the County. Partial bid submissions may be deemed non-responsive. Bidders must submit complete information through the Bonfire-Utah Public Procurement Portal, with all questions due by specified deadlines. Orders will be placed by phone or in writing, with invoices submitted electronically to purchasing-ops@saltlakecounty.gov or by mail to the specified address.
