About this file

This document is a contract area map for the BCLH Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) Phase 2 project located in the Detroit Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. The map details 1,152 acres of burned forest areas affected by the 2020 Lionshead Fire, with multiple subdivisions (LH-1 through LH-72) identified for treatment. The project involves cutting and removing fire-killed timber within 100 feet of roads, performing hazard tree mitigation, reducing roadside fuel accumulation, and conducting road maintenance and reconstruction.

The contract includes mandatory and optional work components, with total tree felling acres ranging from 284 acres (mandatory) to 555 acres (optional). The project is part of a broader stewardship effort under Section 604 of Public Law 108-148, with a performance period from the date of award through September 30, 2030. The estimated timber volume for cutting and removing fire-killed trees is 23,186 tons for mandatory acres and 41,266 tons for optional acres. A site visit is scheduled for August 13, 2025, at the Detroit Ranger Station, and the contract will be awarded using a best value source selection method with a firm fixed price.
