About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the IPW 2026 event, issued by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) with Broward County as the certificate holder. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage standards for consultants or destination management companies contracted to provide consultation and destination management services for the IPW 2026 event. The contract requires general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, covering premises operations, explosion/collapse/underground hazards, products/completed operations, contractual liability, and broad form property damage. Additional required coverage includes auto liability with minimum combined bodily injury and property damage limits of $500,000, and employers' liability insurance with each accident limits of $500,000. The document specifies that Broward County must be named as an additional insured, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage without contribution from the County. A waiver of subrogation must apply in favor of Broward County, and for any claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained and evidence provided for at least three years following contract completion.

The insurance requirements document does not address pricing terms, set asides, or funding sources, as it serves solely as a compliance and risk management specification. Cyber liability and professional liability/errors and omissions insurance are marked as not applicable (N/A) for this engagement. Workers' compensation insurance is required at statutory limits, with specific notation that U.S. Longshoremen & Harbor Workers' Act and Jones Act coverage is mandatory if any contract activities occur on or about navigable water. Auto liability coverage may be waived if no driving is required for performance of services. The document was digitally signed on November 6, 2025, by Colleen Pounall from the Risk Management Division.
