About this file
This solicitation is for a stewardship contract to address effects of the Castle Fire within the Tulare River Basin in California. The objectives are to mitigate hazards along contract area roads by cutting fire-killed trees, remove sawtimber, cull logs, and slash to reduce fuel loading. The estimated timber volumes include 15,586 tons of softwood sawtimber, 446 tons of softwood cull logs, and 988 tons of softwood green biomass. The contract will be awarded using best value and is a firm-fixed price commercial services contract to be completed by December 31, 2023. The solicitation provides prospective contractors with an opportunity to visit the site on August 23, 2022 at 10am PDT at the intersection of California State Highway 190 and National Forest System Road 21S50 to facilitate dialogue on contractual requirements. Questions should be directed to the point of contact. The awardee will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and incidentals to perform the work in accordance with contract specifications and provisions.
