About this file

This document is a Compensation and Fees Attachment (Attachment E) for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) for doors, coiling grilles, turnstiles, vehicle barriers, and dock levelers services. The solicitation seeks repair, installation, and maintenance services for various facility components including wood, glass, metal fire-rated, automated and non-automated swing and slider doors, hatches, gate operators, parking equipment, turnstiles, vehicle barriers, dock levelers, and locksmithing services. The contract will cover multiple Texas locations including Austin, Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Waco, and El Paso, with most services concentrated in Austin.

The pricing attachment outlines labor rates for different technician categories including door/gate technicians, apprentices, locksmiths, and locksmith helpers, with both normal and premium hour rates. The document specifies a markup structure for sub-contracted services and materials, with a maximum markup of 25% for both categories. Normal hours are defined as Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with premium hours falling outside this timeframe. The solicitation requires vendors to submit a separate Compensation and Fees Form for each location, and TFC reserves the right to request invoices or receipts for verification purposes. Notably, the current attachment does not include specific dollar amounts for the labor rates, suggesting these are to be filled in by the responding vendor.
