About this file

This is a Questions & Answers document addressing clarifications for a video surveillance system installation project.

The project requires installation of a multi-camera security system with specific technical parameters. All cameras will be positioned above doorways to monitor specific entry points, with no infrared capability required. Three cameras will be deployed with approximate cable run distances from the Network Video Recorder (NVR) of 24 feet, 66 feet, and 80 feet respectively. The system must maintain a minimum of 90 days of video recording retention. All cameras will be exterior to the facility, though rough-in conduits have already been installed through walls to facilitate cable routing. The facility features drop ceilings at 8 feet height from the raised floor, and monitors are to be grid-mounted as close to the ceiling and walls as possible. A pre-supplied locked rack enclosure will house the NVR. The system design must accommodate future expansion capability. Rough-in pathways are available for cable installation, and a site visit can be arranged if needed to finalize proposal accuracy. The buyer is open to receiving alternative quote options, including potentially lower-specification camera units (such as alternatives to 8MP cameras) that still meet operational requirements without over-specification.
