About this file

This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of California, Department of General Services Procurement Division (DGS-PD) to establish Master Service Agreements (MSAs) for Uniform and Mat Cleaning and Rental Services. The term of the resulting MSAs will be for three (3) years with two (2) optional one (1)-year extensions at the discretion of the State. The IFB requires bidders to provide information such as their business entity type, certification numbers, subcontractor utilization plans, and experience in commercial uniform and mat rental and cleaning services.

The IFB also has environmental requirements, including the use of ENERGY STAR certified commercial washers, Green Power Partnership or Green-e Certified energy, and US EPA Safer Choice or Green Seal certified laundry products. Bidders must also indicate if they intend to divert spent textiles at their end-of-life through textile take-back services. Pricing and set-aside preferences for Small Businesses (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) are also outlined in the IFB.
